Scope of Position:
Working under the general direction of the supervisor or lead person, performs a wide variety of duties associated with electrical component placement, attachment and wiring.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Knows, understands and uses the appropriate safety equipment in an electrical panel building environment.
- Understands paperwork accountability when charging time to specific work orders as well as the payroll system.
- Reads and interprets electrical schematics.
- Understand ladder logic and relay functions.
- Understands how to safely operate hand tools for drilling, varied fastener components and wire stripping equipment.
- Able to read drawings and blueprints and properly determine electrical component placement in a panel and understand National Electric Code requirements.
- Properly applies ridged and flexible conduits.
- Accurately selects and applies terminal connections.
- Abel to accurately read measuring equipment.
- Trained in overhead crane operations.
- Maintains area hygiene above industry standards.
- Develop and maintain solid employee morale and safety awareness.
- Adheres to safety and environmental rules.
- Performs general housekeeping.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- 2-3 years hands on construction related electrical work.
- Knowledge of basic math skills.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, drawings and blueprints.
